Julie's love of music began at an early age thanks to her family of musicians. Her parents knew the importance of early exposure to music. She has fond memories of family time in the car or at home where music was played or sung together with wonderful joy, enthusiasm, and love.

Julie learned to play the clarinet at age 12 and performed in a variety of high school, college and church groups. She has sung in chorus and church choir throughout her life. Her love of children with special needs led her to an occupation as a Speech-Language Pathologist. She frequently used music and sign language as tools for encouraging language acquisition and cognitive development.

Julie loves children! Her energetic spirit and passion shines through in her teaching. In Julie's classes, you will find a nurturing environment for children to discover, express and develop their natural sense of music.
